At Kids and Adults Sewing School, we offer flexible and convenient classes designed to fit your schedule and needs. Whether you’re a complete beginner or an intermediate student, our classes provide a supportive environment to learn and grow your sewing skills.
Class Details
- Scheduling Classes are scheduled at your convenience, typically on a weekly basis.
- Duration Each class is 1 to 2 hours long. For kids, we recommend that classes should not exceed 1 hour to keep them engaged.
- Cost Classes are $25 per hour. Payment is due at the end of each class, and we accept Venmo or cash.
- Committment There is no commitment on the number of classes you need to take. Our classes are typically project-based, allowing you to progress at your own pace.
First Class: Introduction to the Sewing Machine and Safety
This class is essential for all beginners. You will learn how to use the sewing machine and important safety practices. For minors, parents are required to attend the first class. Parents are welcome to attend any subsequent classes with their child.
Second Class: Sewing Straight Lines
Focus on mastering sewing straight lines, which is fundamental for all sewing projects.
Project-Based Learning
Our curriculum is project-based, providing hands-on experience with each session.
- Beginners Start with creating a pillowcase to practice basic sewing skills.
- Intermediate Students Have the freedom to select their own projects, allowing for more creativity and advanced techniques.
